Sheree’ Shantel Stoops, 46, passed away peacefully at 12:10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at The Journey Church in Village Square Mall, 1910 S. Banker, Effingham, with Rev. Jack Stoops and Rev. Kyle Stoops officiating. Friends and family are invited to visitation from 5 p.m. until the service. Cremation services are being provided by St. Louis Cremation.

She was born March 26, 1972, in Olney, to Jack and Jean Stoops. Sheree’ was an active member of The Journey Church.
Sheree’ graduated from Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel as a Social Services Specialist and worked at South Side Elementary School. Sheree’ loved attending church and worshipping the Lord. She also enjoyed the simple things in life, like playing board games with her family and sitting out by the pond.
Sheree’ is survived by father, Jack Stoops, and wife, Barbara, of Effingham; mother, Jean James, and husband, Vic, of Greenup; siblings, Kyle Stoops and wife, Beth, of Winterport, ME; Teresa Rainey, of Salem; Allison Bice and husband, Jamie, of Lawrenceville; and Amanda Stoops, of Greenup; nieces and nephews, Katelynn, Kolin, Lauren and Kameron Stoops; Sherraiah, Josiah and Isaiah Grace; Benjamin and Abram Houser; and Wyatt and Wyalan Bice; special friend, Scott Young; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sheree’ was preceded in death by grandparents, Roy and Mary Stoops, Robert and Rosalie Ramsey, and Darvin and Wanda Bayer; Uncle Jerry Stoops; and Aunt Vickie Ramsey.
