Marilyn J. Hartman (Warren), 70, of New London, Ohio, formally of Effingham, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2017.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at the First Baptist Church in Effingham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Vincent Home Health; 8450 N. Payne Road; Indianapolis, IN 46268.
Marilyn was born May 2, 1947, to Robert and Viola Warren. She married Dallas Oliver in June 1971. They had three children. She then married Fred Hartman in April 1983.
Marilyn enjoyed gardening, reading, doing puzzles, playing cards and games, embroidery, and being with family and friends. Her passion was playing the piano. She played for church and leisure and taught lessons.
She was a member of the New London Baptist Church and grew up going to First Baptist Church in Effingham.
Marilyn worked for Samuel Music Co., Effingham Daily News and the TA Truck Stop in Effingham; and as a teacher’s aide in Ohio.
She is survived by her children, Jason, Jennifer, Jeff, Lisa (Mando) Garcia; and Bill (Veronica) Hartman; husband, Fred; grandchildren, David, Saunders, and Diego Torres, Korianna Hartman, Sarah and step-grandchildren; her mom, Viola Warren; brother, Bob (Marsha) Warren; sisters Jeanne (David) Bushue and Cheri (Terry) Ray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her dad, Robert Warren; and many aunts and uncles.
Marilyn is now praising God and playing the piano in heaven.
