Effingham Police Department Bureau of Patrol reported the following traffic crashes with injuries or tickets issued. Anyone ticketed is innocent until proven guilty through a court of law.

At 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 22, a vehicle, driven by Joseph C. Long, 32, of Effingham, backed into a vehicle, driven by Nancy J. Campbell, 54, Altamont, at the intersection of Merchant Street and Jefferson Avenue. Campbell was ticketed for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

A vehicle, driven by Thomas J. Bauserman, 40, Teutopolis, rear-ended a vehicle, driven by Brittani K. Tabbert, 21, Stewardson, at 2:50 p.m. Oct. 20 at Keller Driver and Rollin Hills. Bauserman was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

A vehicle, driven by Dallas B. Scheeler, 36, Effingham, backed into a vehicle, owned by Alexandra M. Habing, 28, Effingham, at 8:34 p.m. Oct. 19 by the Walmart Supercenter, 1204 Avenue of Mid America. Scheeler was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident.

At 6:39 p.m. Oct. 19, a vehicle, driven by Shardae P. Epps, 23, Chicago, turned into the path of and was struck by a vehicle, driven by Linus R. Nosbisch, 55, Teutopolis, at Third Street and the northbound I/57 and eastbound I-70 ramp. Epps was ticketed for failure to yield.

At 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 18, a vehicle, driven by Brenda J. Thompson, 63, Effingham struck a vehicle, driven by Bridgett L. Smith, 20, Watson, at the intersection of Veterans and Jaycee drives. Smith was ticketed for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
