Curt was born on June 1, 1957, in Effingham, one of two siblings into the family of Ron and Joyce Garner Finfrock. During his younger years, he attended Effingham High School and graduated with the class of 1975.  During his youth and growing up, he worked in the family business of Ron & Son’s Repair Shop where he learned how to repair and sell lawnmowers.

Later, his father instructed and trained him in the necessary mechanical techniques of engines and equipment. This involvement later led him to take over the business and develop an acute interest in motorcycles, automobiles and drag cars. The business closed in 1995. Curt also had a passion for fishing and trap shooting.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge AF &AM #149 in Effingham for a number of years. Most of all, Curt was a devoted son, father and grandfather to his family. His last employment was with the Lake Sara Water Authority where he was the maintenance supervisor until his health did not allow him to continue his employment.

Curt leaves to mourn in his passing his mother, Joyce Garner-Finfrock; son, Justin Dean; his partner, Jessica (Wolfert) Finfrock; two grandsons, Tyler Dean Finfrock and Kamryn Michael Wolfert, all of Altamont; as well as numerous cousins and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Dean Finfrock, in 1986; and his sister, Janice Kayrene Finfrock-Williams, in 1978.
