The Effingham & Teutopolis News Report will once again sponsor of the Effingham County Volunteer of the Year Award.
Communities are defined by many things – and one of those is volunteerism. Some experts believe the strength of a community is directly related to the many volunteers that are willing to serve in multiple ways.
The “You Make A Difference Award” recognizes just those kinds of people who graciously volunteer their time and talent to help improve their community, make a positive difference in individual lives, and improve the overall quality of life within that community.
Recipients of this prestigious award can be an individual, couple, family or a group that has exhibited a selfless commitment and had an impact on their community or Effingham County in general through their volunteer efforts.
An entry form that includes eligibility and criteria for the award is on page A2 in this week’s issue. To make a nomination, simply complete the form, and submit it to The News Report.
The form can be faxed to 217-342-5586 or mailed/delivered to our office. The address is 1901 S. Fourth Street; Suite 223; Effingham. We are located on the second floor in the Lincolnland Building. The phone number is 217-342-5583. Information may also be emailed to email@example.com
All nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5.
The Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented at the Chamber Business Recognition Gala on Saturday, Jan. 21.
